Engine J1939 CAN Data Link Degraded

The engine J1939 data network is operating but with constant errors (degraded).

Possible causes

Untwisted or unshielded CAN twisted-pair cables
Loose intermediate connectors
Interference from nearby high voltage components
Damaged termination resistor

Recommended actions

Inspect CAN bus twisted pair
Ensure connectors are clean and dry
Check that data cables are not near power cables
Measure CAN_High and CAN_Low voltages
