Voltage supplied to the exhaust system control unit is below the operational limit.

Possible causes

Corroded cables or terminals
Weak equipment battery
Low output alternator
Voltage drop in wiring harness

Recommended actions

Clean ECU and battery terminals
Measure alternator charging voltage
Check EES fuses and relays
Charge or replace battery
